I've been going off from this setup for my current build. Will be racing an indoor pretty decent bite track. Do you guys think it will be an ok baseline or should I go with something else? https://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/c...i_Shootout.pdf

Something else - Hotrod is a medium size Outdoor SoCal Track.

I am running for the most part this setup, although lower ride height - 27/25mm (will be trying lower.) Camber more like 1.5* all corners and a 8.5/21T pinion, Schelle Nova Slipper. Shorty all the way back, no added weight. Truck is alot of fun.

Another question, I want to switch my truck over from the 4 gear to the 3 gear trans. Will all my internals work or will I need a different top shaft? I know I'll need to buy the case, new motorplate and is there anything else?

Anyone have an experience with a cut chassis cradle?

Where to cut it and what it does?

Pictures?

With the 4-gear trans and either a sideways shorty or saddle packs, you should have plenty of forward bite unless you are running a VERY low grip track. This is the dominant 2wd SCT at our home track, which has bite that can range from low to high depending on the temperature.

I just received the hexes I ordered for the front hex conversion. I ordered the axles, 7mm and 8.5mm hexes. When I put the hex up to the stock axles and look at the distance from the hub to the hex flange on the stock axle; the 7mm looks a bit shorter and the 8.5mm looks for be a hair longer. Which hexes is everyone using to achieve as close to stock measurements and geometry? Or, are there shims used with the 7mm?

Any help is appreciated!

We're having a 2 hour endurance race in a few weeks and I'm looking for some input on the best way to swap out the battery as quickly as possible. If anyone has any experience doing this in an Sc5m I'd love to hear it.

You may be able to mod a B4/T4 battery strap to fit with the thumb screw type releases.

Slot the side rails on the Chassis Brace and use a Velcro Strap on the top of the battery, and tape your foam spacers directly to the batteries
