Shocks are
Front
500cst (40wt AE)
7x1.3 piston
Grey spring
Rear
350cst (30wt AE)
7x1.3 piston
Grey Spring
Start there.
I have to go up in oils for my tracks. I'm going to try a big jump to 600cst (47.5 wt) and 450cst (37.5 wt). I have a feeling that I will end up splitting the difference and be somewhere in between

Thanks Bob. I only have the stock pistons (and grey springs) at the moment and we are nearly in winter. Would you recommend the same oils as above or thicker/thinner?

Setup Update!
I ran on a super technical but very rough and blown out track this past weekend. I started out with Chris's Nitro setup and it was good, but my shocks didn't quite feel right. Remember in my previous posts I mentioned that I thought I may have to change up the oils, well I definitely did. I ended up using the following:
50wt AE front (650cst)
27.5wt AE rear (313cst)
How I got there...
I started with 40 front and 30 rear. I jumped up to 47.5 and 37.5 to see how the car would feel. I never even put it on the track because it felt way wrong. The front still was under-dampened and the rear was way too much. I obviously went the wrong way with the rear and not far enough in the front. So I bumped it up from 47.5 to 50 on the front and then went down from from my original 30 to 27.5. Now it felt right. I think that I should probably go down from 7x1.3 to 7x1.2 in the front. That will let me go back down in oils a little.
I also put on Kyosho Lt Blue springs. For some reason, I always gravitate to them. No matter what platform I run, the Lt Blue or Orange springs always seem to work best for me.
Also thought I would share my wiring. I used parts from a broken gas tank. I also got tired of dirt and oil flying off the spur onto my ESC. So I made a splash guard.

Bob, when are you going to bring yourself and the region 2 racers down to RC Pro or THE Tiltyard?
We have been very successful in producing wins and podium appearances.

I'm going to try to get down to Tiltyard in June for the ROAR series. It's just hard to justify a 5+ hour drive each way for a one day race.
Now that I think about it, we'll probably have me, Fred, Matt, Andy, Zack and possibly Evan all making the trip from the JQ team.

Since all of you have ran both the Yellow Edition ECar and the White Edition ECar, can you give some feedback on the difference between them? Is the Yellow Edition ECar good compared to other brands you've driven?

Haven't driven other ecars but I have driven the both the YE and WE. I feel the YE is far more nimble and the WE is more forgiving and stable. The WE handles all tracks well but the YE seemed to do better on smoother tracks. If it was blown out it didn't feel as stable. The WE jumps better too.

I haven't driven the yellow edition but my buddies have and they told me very fast car but very hard to hang onto it. Not nearly as forgiving as the White Edition. Also since it has smaller diameter shocks, it's not as good on the rough stuff. If you race on a smooth track that is very tight and technical, the YE should be a contender. But for pretty much everything else, the WE is going to be faster.
Also keep in mind that when we say faster, we're talking faster over a 5, 6, or 10 min run, not a hero lap twice a race.
