Slicks you say,
Seems to be pretty popular right now locally. Haven't got out to race in a bit and give the slicks a go. But many do seem to like them, just not sure how long the track will be good enough to use them.

Ya that seems to be the general consensus at the moment too Rick. I know that the slicks have been working way longer than they have been, surely longer than I think most were expecting.

Time will tell though. Don't forget to sauce those puppies, stay in the groove, and know they do drive a bit different than you may be used to.

Well I broke down and bought slicks for my wheeler, I was able to run a 18.6 yesterday on dirtwebs and as I was gluing the slicks on a friend said he went a second faster when he put his on.. I'm not thinking I will run a second faster but heck if I can gain even .5 that will be fast... I hope to race Friday..

I was not able to make it Friday but did race Sunday.. I waited to run the slicks in the main and what a difference it made. I qualified 3rd but won the main with slicks.. The Caster V4 buggy is holding it's own against all the other top brands... It is by far the BEST car Caster has put out so far...

I remember that, I had modified diffs, slipper and front shaft. I still have my old car with Team C shocks before the caster big bores came out.

Trust me when I tell you gear diffs are just the current trend but there is no way in hell anyone can tell me a slipper isn't superior. I have 2 cars, one with slipper the other with gear diff and a slipper allows you to fine tune to the point it's just easier to drive because it's smoother. And all this crap about different viscosities achieving the same effect of a slipper or better… BALONY!!!

I've tried every viscosity possible in all 3 of my gear diffs and they barely made any difference IF ANY at all in how it handled.

Word from he wise… Beware what you wish ferrrr'!

Slippers are where it's at and judging by how Rick is doing with this thing, there's no denying that. Willing to bet this car would be outright quicker initially with a center diff but would make it a handful to drive so lap times would ultimately drop a touch.
