for what it's worth, I would copy the set up Guch has Tekin recommends the motor wires lead toward the pinion shaft side of the motor to take the stress of the solder tabs. With the wires running toward the "front" of the the solder tabs are better supported by the fiberglass support.

Anyone know what parts besides hubs, wing, wing mounts, body mounts that it takes to convert this truck to a buggy?

Does anyone know who has this truck in stock ??? Was hoping to have this kit before the start of outdoor racing season next week.

Unless you already have the truck just buy the eb48sl. This is a buggy based off the truck. No need to convert. Otherwise tekno makes a conversion kit that will give you an idea of all the parts required.

Pinion gear size?
Starting my build of the 401.3 and saw I need a pinion gear. I run on outdoor clay and the track is average size with only one long straight, several jumps and turns, probably the average layout for an RC clay track.
What size pinion would you all recommend? I am interested more in preserving motor temps than outright blazing speeds. Motor using is the Hobbywing SCT pro
Thanks, Rick

What Motor? 4000, 4700? More than likely a 15-16 is a good start.
