Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8072 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace A block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace C block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

That looks awesome man!
I contacted Delta Plastiks to figure out if any of their rally bodies fit on SCT410.3

looks good.

Seems like proline may be discontinuing the body mounts? shame, I really like the ones I have. better than body clips.

Default Front shock issue

How many turns from the top are you guys running to get 26mm of ride height on the front end? I had to get 15-18 full turns from the top to get 26mm and shocks felt stiff compared to other club members 410.3 setups. Thanks

What color springs? I'm using pink and yellow front and back and I had to leave the tension nuts all the way up to get 23mm ride height. Maybe you need stiffer springs.

You could also try different hole positions in the shock mounting. Mine are inside holes top and bottom.

Hello, new to this forum and I wasn't sure if I should post this in the sct or the SL thread? Anyways I had a question or maybe could just get some direction. My plan is to convert my SL into the sct410.3.

Main reason I want to do this is because I just purchased a new .3 kit and don't feel the need for two buggies, but I do still want two vehicles.

What parts are needed besides axles stubs, wheels, body mounts/body, bumpers, misc. screws, and?

Thanks!

Are these new springs? I have heard they free up with some usage.

You could also compare the feel of your shocks without springs to that other persons without springs to make sure its the springs that feel different and not something else.

Cain and JoeRC, thanks for your help. Springs are green in front with purple rears. I took apart all 4 shocks yesterday and rebuilt them. Apparently it was just a difference in rebound because now the collars are at the very top of the body and ride height is 28mm. So I take it ride height is very sensitive to the amount of rebound in the shock?

IF you are coming from SL to SCT410.3, there isn't a bunch to buy.
1. Front bumper and rear bumper
2. Body mount for the shock towers
3. Body posts
4. 12mm cvd's output hex. (not necessarily needed if you plan to use 17mm wheels)

Keep in mind, once you convert to SCt410.3. you will be destroying bodies left and right.

How much rebound do you have and do you feel anything where it feels like the shock "locks" at a certain part of its compression?

I build mine to have zero rebound.

Pretty stiff spring on the rear if I am reading the chart correctly. what setup are you using?

IMHO< Grab bumpers and body mounts, then get the 17mm hex sct rims and race on. I believe DE calls them borega's? The same rims and the AE sc8 I think.

It will make borrowing wheels & tires at the track impossible, and all your stuff will have to be ordered online.

I thought I built the first round to 0 rebound and this last version to 15mm. I'm running a setup from John Bernard's 7/11/15 race at Capital City Raceway. Guys where I race said it was a good one. Top shock mount is in 3 position, bottom on the outside a arm hole. My Photobucket acct doesn't seem to want to work or I'd share a picture of the setup sheet. 35/30 ft/rr oil.
Shock did not feel it locked, nice and smooth.

I didn't even know that was an option. So are they the smaller sct wheels but for 17mm hubs? Being I would have to get wheels and tires only that may save a couple bucks. Just took a peak at DE website and they aren't overpriced either!

It seems most everything in this hobby is purchased online (for me anyways). The local hobby shop here is fairly limited, especially with tekno stuff.

Thanks for the tips!

And as far as bodies go...what brands fit a tekno or do they all with some trimming and such?

Any SCT body will fit with trimming. I like the jconcepts illusion f250 body the best.
