Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8072 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace A block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace C block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

I've searched and can't seem to find what the size of the holes in the stock shock pistons are, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hmm. Well that shouldn't be a problem then. It's hard trying to help you figure this out without actually seeing it first hand. It could be a bad plastic part, but it would be the first time I heard of it being an issue, but it does happen from time to time with anything. Do you have any friends that own a 410 that could compare and look at it?

[QUOTE=gokitty199;14770162]im having an issue where my top cover does not line up, its about a half screw diameter off center and i have to pull the front end towards the back to be able to get it to line up to get the screw started. the problem with this is i get binding in my steering when the front end is pulled back like that, the binding starts when im turning to the left, just a little bit past center i feel it hit something, and then when i continue to turn to the left i can feel it dragging a decent bit but i cant see what its hitting on, however if i undo the front 2 bolts on the front of the cover then theres no binding and it feels fine. im unsure what the issue is here.

I had this issue with my V1. I was told it is just the way I am installing it and that it is not a problem. When all bolted together it is in correct alignment. You may have to loosen the steering posts slightly to get everything lined up.

i think i narrowed down whats making the binding happen, when i have the top cover screwed into all of the points, it pulls the steering towers forward a little bit, when their straight up and down and screwed down they dont bind at all, but if you push fowards on them a little it starts to bind/rub when you turn

A wild guess, but check that you do not have a rear diff case you are trying to use in the front location...

if i remember correctly i laid them out in order once they were done so they should be correct. but i thought the front and rear diff cases were the same? i didnt pay to much attention looking to see if they were different, is there an easy way to tell the difference? also i fixed it my own way, cut the cover holes so its a slot instead of a hole in the cover and tightened the screws down.

also i have a random question, i was just learning about batteries and esc's, i was wondering if my thought here on the subject is correct and not wrong. for instance my hobbywing esc on the site shows 120A continuous and 760A peak
http://www.hobbywing.com/goods.php?id=349
does that mean my batteries mAh times c rating needs to be above 120Amps? because i made this out of boredom and for personal use and wasnt sure it was correct

One of the diff cases is angled. Check your manual for the proper orientation.

Not referring to the car. I ended up purchasing 2 SCT410s before to run with my daughter but then she got into other things. So it became a solo affair then. Trying it again with 2 of my daughters.

Oh lol. I get that. I have two sons and neither wanted to do any RC stuff. I was going to get my youngest a truck so we could practice and race together. He was ok with the idea at first but then declined. Darn kids.
