Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace A block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace C block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Over two years with composite crosspins in my Durango truggy, they're showing less wear (absolutely zero) than any metal pin I've used. Guessing Tekno can make the pin as good as Durango, so no fears here.

I believe the biggest benefits will be seen on rough tracks, as the extra piston speed and further out shocks allow for better control of bump handling and jump landing pack via piston/oil changes more independently, which should lead to more stability. I haven't driven it or played with it yet though ('cause, well, they're not shipping yet), so I can't tell you for sure.

That is the main area I had issues with was rough track handling. but if it whole nose down thing is gone, and we get better rough track handling I am fine with whatever for oil and springs lol.

It looks like they will have green front springs, black rears and 10 x 1.2s with 2.6mm swaybar up font and 2.4mm rear according to the part list. No new parts show up so we will have to see if/when that changes.

I won't mind having another SCT...

looks like it will be all composite hingepin braces front and rear? Does that look like that for everyone else too?

I am hopeful the include the alloy front one like they did before at least.

yeah, if tower does the E-cash thing again, maybe I'll do another order and cancel based on when the season gets going, will see.

One thing I am curious about is with the new bearing setup, it looks like they should be more robust on the carrier side of things.

Would the EB48SL be a good option then now in 1/8 E buggy on 4S? This is more so to share parts I am looking at, so could do 2 the new SCT410.3 and the EB48SL (no .3?) and go from there.

Of course would need longer straps for 4S probably, and then the mount that will work for the larger motor.

But to bundle up the hinge pin holders with the square pills and the new arms and hubs, or any other newly introduced features would be a nice gesture to support the many 1.0 folks out here.

In the same boat. Pretty much have everything. Split diff,M2C chassis, and BCE chassis. Alm. drive shafts.
