Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8072 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace A block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace C block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Nanaotech and graphene may not be using the true technology, but they have worked well for me. I have four nanotech packs that I have been running for two seasons with no problems. Just another good option in my opinion. I love smc and I run their 4s packs in buggy, but I managed to crack the cases on the two 2s packs I had a while back, granted it was probably due to wrecks or not landing jumps as smoothly as I should. If it wasn't for the case cracking, I doubt that I would have ever looked at other lipos.

Yeah I am not knocking on the over all performance of the packs, just pointed out another marketing spoof. The day a real break through battery tech actually happens is the day everyone will notice all the pros had been running them about a month before the public knew about them.
As for the cases, the nicest one's I have seen have been on my protek packs. I don't know what the material difference is past a hydro dip pattern, but it seems to be the toughest and best looking cases on any pack so far.

Those are specifically for the EB/NB and will be too long to achieve proper ride height (most of the time) on the SC/SL.

Good to know! Thank-you. I. Used to EB/NB stuff being pretty compatible. Still bummed cause I could of bought the new ones for my EB/NB and put the old onto the SCT. Not a big deal, just curious about new parts.[:

I would think you'd prolly want like a 15-16T based off of KV per volt
I run 2S 4700KV with a 15T

4700KV @ 7.4v = 34,780 RPM

You'd be getting>
3000KV @ 11.1 = 33,300 RPM

Which pistons are most common on the SCT? the 6 hole? 8? My buggies use 4 hole, and I just noticed the stock SCT is 10...

Thinking about ordering some new pistons, just not sure which to go with...

The 2 SMC's I ordered came in today, they look amazing! Cells were matched, and they are all charged up and ready for the track tomorrow. Will see how they do!

7200 90c 2s
and a new
6700(7200) 90c 4s (for my EB)

Can't wait to try these bad boys out!

I just tried that tonight with a 17t. No problems. External motor temp around 140. Esc around 100. I wasn't using a tekin esc so I can't actually review any data.

6x1.5 seems to be pretty common.
