Welcome to the SCT410.3 Wiki!

7.26.17 - BB
In order to run the recommended team setup, you need the following optional parts:
TKR6106 Orange LF Springs
TKR6114 Green LF Springs
TKR6018 composite shock caps (built to emulsion) OR TKR8072 Aluminum Emulsion Shock caps
TKR8027 Shock Stand Offs
TKR6051 8x1.3 pistons(drilled to 1.4mm)
TKR8104 .4 bellcranks
TKR8100 .4 ackerman
TKR5545B HRC Hubs
You also need the Aluminum C Block (others can stay composite)

What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

TKR5161 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace A block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5163 V2 Adjustable Hinge Pin Brace C block, 7075 CNC, EB/NB/ET/NT/SCT) - Helps to improve durability on hard crashes.

TKR5545B HRC Rear Hubs (L/R, CV or uni, SCT.3/SL) - Improves stability of the rear on mid to corner exit. Allows harder acceleration on corner exit.

TKR6146 - CNC Delrin Shock Cartridge Set

TiNi Shock Shafts
-TKR6004T (front)
-TKR6017T (rear)

What spare parts should I keep on hand?
TKR5020 Hinge Pins (inner, front/rear)
TKR5516 Front Suspension Arms and TKR5515 Rear Suspension Arms
TKR5542 Spindle Carriers - TKR5541B Spindles
TKR6009 Shock O-Ring and Bladder Set (for 2 shocks)

Tips and Tricks

List of Vehicle Setup Adjustments and Build Tips can be found here. There are several videos and articles detailing the building of shocks, diffs, camber links, etc.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all Tekno RC vehicles can be found here. Please be sure to try our recommended setup. It works very well on most tracks.

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on their website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Need some advice. I have a somewhat hopped up Tekno Sct410. I am looking for a new hobbywing esc. I run a HW 4700 motor. We race with 2s. I use a 7200 mah amp battery....SMC....What is the best HW esc for this truck and my situation? The tracks that I race on are medium and large outdoor orange clay. I have a HW sct pro now, but it is showing its age....

Actually that is a very good ESC especially with that motor. Not sure what you mean by "showing its age?" If it is malfunctioning look for wiring problems before you give up on it. Also check your batteries for any issues. If the ESC is bad, replace. The HW SCT PRO is still a good value and has all the features your motor needs. If you want an upgrade consider the HW XR10 Pro. Pricey and probably overkill, but you're unlikely to out grow it. Good luck!

Planning on getting a a second motor and esc for my second truck. Main is RX8 and Pro4 HD4300, so I was looking at the HW combos and most are $139, but what kV and can size should I go for? Going to be 2s

If your stuck on HW, get the 4700kv. I believe they changed from solder posts on the motor, to Tabs. I hated the posts myself.

I just got the SMC 4500kv, haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things.

I'm not saying that it is or isn't, since I don't know for certain, but I'd make sure the XR10 Pro is compatible with 4-pole sc motors.

I'm not stuck on HW, I never thought I'd buy one, but I don't want to spend as much as I would getting a second set of what I have... Just want a decent setup for my second truck, without spending a ton.

It is, i'm using the XR10 Plus on a LRP Dynamic 10L 4700kv and still have room for more. XR10 works really good and it has the 7.4v output for high voltage servos.

When I say that there's still room for more, i'm mean amp draw... not place for a longer/bigger motor case.

Not in any way trying to start an argument, but in your pic it appears (to me) to be an XR8 Plus, not an XR10 Pro. Of course the XR8 Plus is designed around 4-pole motors. Just not sure if the XR10 Pro is compatible with them.

One of the interviews that Jason Ruona did with Ron shurr, He said they would handle a 4 pole. I believe it was the new software. And almost like they made sure that you could use it for 4x4...

That LRP 4700 10L is a beast. I run one but have it geared and lowered on my esc or everything runs hot LOL. Even with it turned down to 85% geared with a 16 came off at 180 esc 120 and was pulling on the straight.

What would be a good starting point for a pinion gear on a Hobbywing 4700 on a large 1/8 scale track?
