Default 1/8 truggy motor questions

I used 1/8 truggy motor a 120a fvt esc for slash 4*4.It ran perfectly i 7 minutes. Then it started up and ran bad and didnt rotate smooth. And the cables was hot (but not the motor) i was running at 2s lipo in low speeds, so it shoulnd be like that. Today was the first time i ran with it, and it didnt had to work hard. Whats wrong. Thanks!

I have had this happen with poor connections . Check your solder joints , connectors , and wires . Also , I have never seen first hand a 1/8 system run good on 2s. You should try a higher voltage pack for a few minutes and see what you get.

Lower Voltages means less efficiency and higher Amps being drawn, recommend you try 3S or 4S to see if the temps go down. Otherwise, it probably is a bad soldering job as stated above.
