Default 1st Buggy 2WD 1/10 scale

Need help with first 2WD 1/10 scale buggy. Narrowed it down to 4 choices.
1, Team Associated B5m
2. Losi 22 2.0
3. Schumacher Cougar Kf
4. Kyosho RB6

Leaning towards the RB6. I will also need all the electronics and a radio for which ever buggy I get. HELP

Order of importance:
1. The one most widely used for racing in your area
2. The one with best part support at the track you'll run at
3. The most expensive one
4. The most rare/exotic one

I would not buy a Schumacher over a B5m lol the B5M is the best bang for your buck and will get you far, it's very easy to work on and is very durable.

The losi 2.0 is a good choice to but you have to buy a lot of hop ups to make it drive how you want, and you end up spending a lot of money just to get it to the point of handling good, and there is very little room for electronics and everything is so close.

The rb6 is a killer buggy, the quality is amazing and everyone I have seen at the tracks have had serious steering and were on rails. If you have a lot of money it's a good choice but it's not cheap to maintain or fix.
I would pick whatever is the most popular at your local track, as being able to borrow parts from a friend or wheels/tires is always a plus when racing.. Local support is always the best bet

Thanks for the input...The B5M is very popular at my track, and I have seen a few RB6's that run amazing ( or the driver is very good). As far as which is better stock out of the box I guess would be the best question

if the b5m is popular that it makes it a solid choice. Once you start adding upgrades, it becomes just as "expensive" as the other buggies though.

If 20 people reply, you're gonna get 20 different opinions.

It's best to see what guys are using in your area and what the parts support looks like at your LHS. If they stock all the parts for all the cars, then choose the one with the best box art

I don't mind spending the money, as the saying goes "Buy once Cry once". They carry parts for all 4 buggies, but is there a big difference in performance.

I recently got back into the hobby and chose the B5M over the rest because it seemed like it was more popular in my area(easy to get parts), and the price point for what you get is awesome. I also was looking at the RB6, but don't regret the choice at all!

Not sure why you think you "need hop ups" with the 22 2.0. I got one and have been pretty happy with how it runs stock out of the box (mid motor with a shorty pack). I even had some people at the track mention that it looked like it was tuned really well and that was without prompting. I ended up changing the length of the rear camber link and am now really happy with how it performs.

Well il tell you this be prepared to do tuning on them and sometimes throwing them against the wall at times lol.

Anyways though the Durango Dex210 V2 is good and priced well and quite a strong buggy drives good. I did drive a B5M once and to me at least it felt heavy and drove like it but had pretty good turn in and jumped well though.

Honestly most of the 2wd Buggys are good and competitive that are out now.

So go by what you can afford and by quality sure you can by what your track carrys but if you have a chance to buy a better quality one at a good price than i would do that !

How is it not cheap to maintain or fix?

Sorry, the b5 reliable ?? where I live, all the rc shops carry and sell mostly associated parts, Why ? I know they are very accessible from anywhere in the u.s, o.k every time I go to the track I always see the associated brands breaking, B5 B44.3 SC10 ect. I am not saying there is a bullet proof car out there, there is not....But as a business owner for a rc store I would sell associated..
