I'm just finishing up my new kf2 my question is when moving the socks to the rear is there something to keep the angle right or do you just deal with the gangster lean ?

You will need to buy the aluminum upper rear transmission housing. It allows you to move the rear shock tower mount back some the shocks at straight up and down.

U4616 comes with u4615. You can get by with only u4615 if you want to cut the top off the plastic tranny uppers and drill a couple holes. You'll save money by doing this. I think you'll have to add 2mm spacers to the lower shock mount to keep the same angle.

In case you guys didn't notice it, I've created the Wiki for this thread. Similar to the old '1st page' posts, but now it appears at the top of every page.

Anyone can edit it, but just keep in mind that EVERY edit is recorded and we can see who did it. Abusing it will result in a forum ban.

My suggestion is that if you have a new item you want to post on the Wiki and aren't sure if you should, just post it in the normal part of the thread and ask. If you see a majority in agreement, post it.

Out of curiosity, has anyone found play on the slipper shaft (fore and aft rather than 'in and out', lateral play) Have you been able to eliminate it? (or did you bother?) I only ask because i used teflon tape to remove the play between the bearing and housing, but then found that the shaft bound up when the sidebars were tightened. I polished the spacer down and have eliminated both the play and the binding. now i have no rotational play in the slipper shaft and no binding.

I appreciate that I run Mod and small inefficiencies are....small, but i'm a bit old (school) and hate that kind of stuff. I posted on Oople, but got zero response!

Guys I need help.with the suggested gearing, if you have run a ratio and you know within reason that it works please list it so I can get it in the wiki, surface and motor fan y/n would also be helpful.

Thanks

Thanks

I always end up near a 5.4 FDR for 17.5 motors. So like 34-72.

Math behind it:
We have a 2.58 ratio
72/34, which is 2.117.
Multiply that by 2.58 and you get 5.46186.
