The holes on the outside slipper plate line up with the holes on a Kimbrough (sp?) spur gear. Screwed in three button head screws and this is how I made my eliminator.

My goal is to also cut the rotating mass out. If I can't find something, I'll likely do the same. What are you doing on the other side of the spur? Just running it normal? I know it's not slipping, but I am thinking weight reduction = quicker acceleration.

I'll get the carbon fiber chassis and I'll probably grab a set of Acer Ceramic bearings too just because.

Looks like I'm building a 17.5 car after all

I have used the JConcepts spur gear and the holes line up perfect with the vent holes on the disc. But currently I am just clamping down on the spur with one pad on each side and a plastic standoff to take up the gap between the nut and disc. This way works great and allows for easy gear changes.

If ya go back to pg.69 you can see my set up.

hey how is it going? I been researching and such and been wanting a new kit to get back into racing after 5 years. I love this kf2 Build.
I used to run a cougar.

this kit I got in trade, has some upgraded parts and I also am going to be purchasing a few. Im not too sure what it may have missing or would need.

What option parts do you recommend???

Do you also run the Carbon chassis or the Alloy??

What setup do you run? Or do you have a link to a setup? High Bite Indoor Clay Dirt Track? Running Slicks?

Also whats the diff between the KF2 and the KF2 SE?

thanks again and If you need pix or anything more of the buggy let me know. Thanks again guys.

I have alum caster blocks, spindles, front camber mount, Ackerman plate, and Read upper bulk head (so you can run the shocks on the back of the arms).

My car is the SE, so I can run all 3 motor positions. I talked to Michal the other day and we were discussing the different positions and we both feel that MM (motor all the way back with battery in front) is the best all around layout. I'm currently running Tom Yardy's Telford setup but with a gear diff. It's pretty good. The only changes I made were to shorten the wheelbase some (run it middle) and remove the anti-squat.

Right now I run on Astro and Ozite. I haven't run it on clay yet but will probably try it at Bumps and Jumps soon.

I'm going to also try Michal's Reedy Race setup on clay. In order to run that, you need the 4mm toe blocks.

Hope this helps.

That looks great David, well done!

Did you use the compl. Rear end from the xb2, exapt the shocks?
Is the lenght of the rear arms the same between the xray and the kf, also the high of the shock tower too?
Also the distance between the inner hinge pins?

Quit interested in some more detailed pictures, if you dont mind!?

Thx in advance
Mike
