you will want a FDR of 7.0 thus take the spur gear size and dived by pinion size then multiply by the IGR being 2.6

I not positive if you can use a spur smaller than 78t however I am not positive as I have not ran 13.5 in my YZ4 as of yet.

Front belt does not need the top deck tensioner. Rear deck belt tensioner use 2 1mm shims thus drops the bearing a tad lower. The rear belt layshaft tensioner set at its lowest position. There is a nut on the backside that sits in a vertical channel that allows one to raise or lower the tensioner a bit. Use rear narrow belt and aluminum pulleys throughout. Set your slipper correct per the bite on the track.

80t spur gear with 29t to 30t pinion. 30t pinion with 80t spur will have your FDR just under 7.0 at 6.93. 29t pinion with 80t spur will have your FDR at 7.17.

Has anyone had a clicking sound coming from the drive train after a crash ?
Pulled it all apart last night and i can't find the culprit ? Belts don't seems to be rubbing on anything also

Could be a Damaged Idler gear. Pull each belt and spin each gearbox feeling for roughness

Agreed as it could be an idler gear or a bearing if a bearing I would check these first (lay shaft bearings, top shaft bearings, or out drive bearings

I Definetly think it's beneficial to run better bearings in this wheeler. Especially the layshaft bearings, and all the gear box bearings. ACER sells a full set of ceramics for the YZ4 for $66 shipped. They are not rubber seals however I have had no issue with dirt dust and debri. I brush a light coating of dry gear fluid on the bearings side walls. It goes on wet but dry in 5 seconds leaving a white is colored dry polymer that seals the bearings against dust and debri. This product is also great for lubricating gears, bearings, cvd joints, hinge pins, ball studs, out drives etc as it is a dry powder polymer that is delivered via alcohol with quickly evaporates. You will want the dry gear fluid as the make 2 types with the dry gear being more concentrated with the dry polymer,
Kind of pricey however a bottle will last for a very long time,

Hey Low ET that is it my friend. I have both the xtreme gear and the RC car. The extreme gear lube is more concentrated which I would recommend over their other. Shake vigoursly before using. Stuff works great.

I ran a track that was treated with a calcium compound in which after running one should clean all their alloy parts other wise major oxidation/rust occurs quickly. I did noy know about this calcium compound until weeks later. I took apart my 4 SCT and all the hinge pins were perfa which was do to previously brushing on the dry gear lube.

Derek you should be able to run a 75t spur with a 27t pinion with no issues as I just received word from a friend that they are running 74tspur with 27t pinion.

Both of the above combos set your FDR right around 7.0 give or tad a tiny tad, thus good to go.
