Maybe somebody can lean on them. Lee, Marc, Shin, or Carson could share and help us out a bit here in the land of the TLR 22-4.
There was a couple of pics I saw on Facebook of Lee's car and Carson's car. Lee was running the kit shock towers and Carson was running the carbon towers, that all I could get from the pics.

We have seen plenty of pictures but that doesn't tell you the full setup sheet. You can only guess from the pics.

It seems like the guys that are sponsored, maybe besides Carson, run the car on carpet/astro/wood surfaces more than dirt or clay hence more setup sheets for the non clay surface. There seems to be more setup sheets for the YZ-2 for clay than the YZ-4. The setups for the Reedy Race might not be good for them but they might be good for someone else who runs on clay.

I posted these pics on the Facebook group. Looks like Carson was running the carbon towers and plastic shock caps while Lee was running plastic towers and aluminum shock caps. Two ways to get some more forgiving flex up front.

I sure would like to see the rest of the setups to see where each of them landed in terms of springs, diff oil, shock oil, and inserts/pills.

I'm with you on that. The other thing I remember Carson saying, he was running ball diffs front and rear.

Alright fellas, I am trying to use the Petitrc editable sheet for the YZ-4. I can open the page but its not editable on I-pad or laptop. Im not very computer savy, so do I need a specific program already on my lap top to make it editable?

Just download Adobe reader DC. https://get.adobe.com/reader/

it allows you to fill in the interactive fields.

There aren't any significant benefits other than they look great and are made from aluminum. A yokomo rep once said the fins are supposed to act as heat sinks but they don't really. I've heard one guy complain they leak where his plastic one did not, but there could be other factors at play. The only real benefit is the bleeder screw not stripping like in the plastic caps.

Yes, I have tried all four angles. The 15's were a bit too slow steering I thought on the high grip clay we run. The car was a bit too relaxed, I went to the 12.5's and my lap times came up. I may go back to test the tens next with our new layout with more hairpin turns.

Play with the front kick up too, im using 12.5 blocks and 2.5 inserts, that feels very nice on carpet, which we run a control Venom tyre, which has way less grip than say a Minipin, so it helps balance the handling out a bit by transferring some weight to the rear.

Thanks for the help I guess I'm going to start with the 12.5's

Default yz4

I tried everything on this car to make the rear end lock in its pissing me off. I race on pack clay I can tell that this car is made for high grip because if they wet the track before we run its super dialed after it dry a little it's back to fight to get the rear locked in again. I even went down to losi 25wt. With green springs now that soft. Went from to 32.5 in the rear still the same thing. I look at Mark Reinhart setup He had pictures of his car it looks like he had spacers under the rear transmission I'm not for sure at the last race in January 2016 can somebody please look and check it out
