Do any of you know if a slipper eliminator for the B5 will fit the topshaft? Same reason I am asking this.

The top shaft isn't the same either. I've been testing some Factory RC carbon fiber Avid/Sheele spur slipper eliminators with great success. They're not out yet, but should be shortly.
B5(M) idlers are a direct fit, as is the VBC Racing Firebolt ball diff as a whole. Diff ring inner dimensions are different to the Yokomo ones, though.

Has anyone gotten a kit that was missing parts? I'm missing 2 3X8mm screws, and a lower shock seal so I'm dead in the water.

Yes the first yz I got was missing a couple parts out of box. The second one was all there.

I hate when that crap happens. AMain is sending me a replacement part, but they are sending it first class mail, so 5 days to get to me. Does anyone here have a spare lower collar they could send me? Regular mail would be way way faster then first class through a business.

I'm on the fence on whether to get the YZ-2 or the Associated B5M Lite?

It's all about what kind of track you're running on. If the grip is good, the Yz2 is tough to beat.

Do you do anything special to your Dirt tech inserts for this car, a friend of mine who has it says it loves blown out softer foams (@ OC/RC). and the Dirt Techs seem like they would be way too stiff.

I find that 2nd "run" Dirt Tech's work better in this car than brand new ones, yes. So I keep used foams out of my 4wd buggy and use them in "new" tires for they Yz.

Other inserts can work too, red aka's are softer than DT's.

What are you going to try?
What type of track?
What type of tires?

I have a set of AKA reds in my slicks for LRH, cause the smoothies Dirt Techs felt super hard. For my Electrons I just use the stock foams they come with cause OC/RC burns up tires like crazy.

Does anyone actually run this car right out of the box, or are they all covered in added weight, Bmax, B5, losi and VBC parts?
