That's quite a strong statement. Does anyone else want to weigh in on the YZ-2 vs B5M?

hmm, that is a blanket statement. I know a few guys putting the yz2 through the paces. They are faster on really high bite with the yz2 by a half second. But on low to medium bite, they are faster with the B5M. I am also told the yz2 is a bit more edge and less comfortable than the B5M, and that B5M is "easier" to drive. I race on high bite clay and have been thinking about this car, but for low bite outdoor racing, I would not even consider it.

Also, aside from the front bearing/spindle issues, the B5M is very high quality and stay tight for a while. My ball cups are a year old and have zero play.

No blankets where used and its a straight fact. Japanese parts are better than chinese cheap parts. The fit and finish of the build is so much better than any b5m. This by far is my opinion. Don't go off of what is told or said by others. Just get the car and find out for your self. To each their own and I do really like this car.

Ok! You could be correct? I'm not 100% sure. The fit and finish are way better!

haha. I have nothing against yok, but I am concerned about that motor being too far forward for clay tracks.

I'm on a med bite clay track and my car feels planted. I dont like cars that are edgy on corner entry and this thing is way better than the RB6 I was running.

So is this going to be Yoke's car for clay or is there another update to the Bmax II MR coming out?

This car was obviously designed for high bite, but since it is mid and not forward motor, I can see people racing it for clay. This being said, I wonder if Yoke has something else in the works clay/med bite.

Sorry if I offend anyone but my thoughts on the car is this......racers are lazy and many don't try things at the track where the help is. Again not saying everybody does it but enough to make this comment and have validity. Yes it's a new car but setup is setup. The car was advertised as a high bite carpet car and that put a bad taste in some of our mouths. (Myself included) I got the car on accident as my preorder cancellation didn't go through. Once I got the car I immediately saw it potential on a pretty high grip clay track but the true test would be at my home track that's low-medium bite. Two days of testing and the car was up to speed of my B5M but with more corner speed. I had the privilege of having 2 of the faster B5M racers at my home track helping me with the car. We all drove it and made suggestions and got the car planted on the looser surface. The car works on both clay surfaces that I have driven on. Is it better than the B5M......I'd say there's no real answer to that question. Compare the two right out of the box and I'd say B5M because the YZ doesn't come with a ball diff. This is a great car and can be made to work on multiple surfaces.

It needed to be said. Guys from my own track come on here and ask questions that could have been answered when we were sitting right next to each other at the track 30min earlier.....lol
