The y-max gets you close to a typical mm layout yes. However with the xb2 you can change to 3/4 gear layout and also flip the transmission around for a rear motor setup. I had the yz-2 and absolutely loved the car, just went to the xb2 for more tuning options.

Looking on the net it seems the Y-Max option would give one the range of traction option one might need.

I just dont think you can beat the Yokomo quality...unless you buy Tamiya...haha

The smart thing for Yokomo will be to package the Ymax parts as a factory supported conversion. That would be excellent competition for the XB2.

Might as well consider a Ae B5M with B5 conversion too, has the 3 and 4 gear tranny and rear option. Just not the same quality by the looks of it.

We've had a few Yz2 drivers working on a pretty sweet clay track setup that has immense bite on gold Dirt Webs at my local track. We have tire howl and excellent balance of forward and side bite. NO additional weight in the car, just a few tweak parts, shorty pack even, and yes mod.

What's a good starting point for pinion on a 8.5t motor?

Looking at the "Race spec" combo LMR offers, they include the graphite gullwing front arms. But it looks like the shock tower for gullwing is not included. Am i missing something here?

maybe that is good a little less down travel? Odd though. Id like to know for sure myself id assume the gullwing style carbon lowers the upper mounts to allow the same travel in a normal case?

Any idea if those are the standard bmax4 arms or the +1s, the part # they list is for the standard bmax4 or are those already a mm longer than the yz2?

I'd assume it was an incidental typo that left that out but I'd ask them to make sure - this car loves it's droop, I wouldn't run the gull-arms with the stock tower.

Yup, spoke to Lee and he says they have just missed it on the website, the tower for gull is included.

Anyone know if any machined shock cartridge internals are available for the yoks anywhere?
I bent a shock shaft and ovaled out the lower shock bushing in the cartridge and wanted to know if any options exist before I buy the stock 'on the tree' plastics.
