Id like to see them come out with a $30 motor, since I have yet to see ANY brand sensored motor last more than two or three races on 2s 4x4 SCT. (pro level). Saw 2 fry last week, and three this weekend. This one looks good, but the warranty scares me away.

If any company could come up with a reliable motor, it would be a bargain at $250.

You must be way over geared. My pro4 hd lasted forever! So did my HW 4000kv.

Quality motors last forever in pro4. If this motor is like any of there other stuff, it should be good.

Tekno needs a grunty motor. The HW 4000 and 4700 are the best. Longevity, torque, speed wise. Pair that up with a good esc Orion R10, HW 3.1/2.1, Tekin RX8v2, SCT-Pro and you won't need to buy a new motor for years.

13-14t tekno sct410 current limit at 55%

12-13T LOSI current limit 63%

10 Motors in 6 months between two of us. All the manufactures agree...they will tell yiu they fail often....and 30%+ will fail on first pack.

I can baby a good one and make it last a few months, but running hard they cant take it. Its geared on the money...coming off at 145 after ten minute main. They pull too much current and then short out. The pro 4 and hd motors are failing right and left....trinity...lrp..etc..etc.

Well you have terrible luck I don't know if anyone that has issues like you. I have never had any or seen any. Have you ever cleaned your bearings? You must be filling them full if sand

I've never heard of any manufactures say they can't take it, I've never seen any of these motors failing right and left either, maybe you and your friends are doing something wrong, but making a blanket statement like that is just untrue IMO, not an attack on you, I just don't agree.

Our Pro4 line of motors don't fail "right and left." Drivers both team and privateer drivers have won countless races all over the world with the Pro4 line.

Clearly it's good enough to copy as shown in the picture above. Even the colors...

While i will agree that very few motor companies have there own motors and are being compied by others. More companies are just rebadging motors produce/manufacture by chinese companies. Look at a skyrc ares pro motor then go look at novak vulcan, lrp x20 or the norsram motors this shows a chinese company having their motor being rebranded. It just whats happening in the RC industry.

Though im am surprised only skyrc and speedpassion offer bluetooth and or wifi programing of their esc's.

My 4000 kv Tekin is sitting in a box after running for 3 years trouble free in an SC10 4x4. It's just too small to run out here. I just completed a trouble free year of running a Tekin 4.5 turn in my Losi 4x4. Loves my Tekins

As much as I want to believe the tekin motors are great I'm just not sure....we have gone through 3 rotors and a 4th was found defective immediately after a warranty repair. The first I figured ok, maybe we overheated it. So we started using a temp gun instead of touch. Still 2 ore rotors not to mention the 3 sensor boards. Tech says you need to clean motor more often. More the cost of a pro4. (named after OFFROAD class of racing no less) I call bs. The Kevlar wrap and epoxy needs a rework. theres no way dust should cut through Kevlar, it's used it street bike racing equipment, drug acrossed the pavement at 200mph.I bought a used castle motor, beat the snot out of it for a year and a half and still works. But..I haven't given up on tekin yet. I love the performance and they make the best escs.
For us local racers or bashers , a championship don't mean much. Racing motors, gas and electric are rebuilt every weekend in most forms of racing. Show me one that males it through a whole summer..Racing once or twice a week.
Sorry for the rant. I feel better.

other than the colors, how is that a copy of a tekin motor? tenshock came out with 4 pole, 550 motors before anyone.

my history might be a bit off, but from what i can remember, in terms of when they came out for 4 pole motors for 1/10 applications (specifically 4x4SC):

1) castle 1410
2) tenshock SC401
3) tekin pro-4 (which i believe was the first sensored operation offered in this class of motors).

the pro-4HD came out even later and i think hobbywing came out with their 3656 line before the HD was introduced (not positive).

If run on 2s, get 3500kv one.
