When you order parts get them from dollar hobbyz. Do a search for mugen and sort by lowest price first. There are multiples of most parts but some are cheaper than others so it helps to sort. Trust me you will save a lot of money. They usually ship same day too. The only part I've seen there that isn't a great deal is front arms. Some stuff is 1/4 to 1/3 what you will pay ordering online fyi.

Anyone tried the 5x1.35 pistons for indoor? If so, how did the performance differ from the stock 8x1.3 pistons?

Hello, I wonder if someone uses a Cooling Fan to the motor? My engine is a Tekin Gen2 2050Kv.

I've used them in the past and yes they do work, but you should instead look at what is making your motor run hot in the first place. Gear ratio, gear mesh, and run time are all easy things to take a look at before you just slap a fan on there. Hope that helps and I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions as well

Just picked up a very barely used eco 7, pulled off a 2nd in one of the finals so pretty happy with that, did have a big problem of over shooting the jumps , landing hard and then coming all undone (that was my fault not the cars, usually run 1/10), as its a m spec and I have no idea what the oils any where are, I am up for a rebuild and inspection, I am going to use whats been advised here with 774 diffs, 45/650f 40/550r at 22,25 ride height and going to run lower middle rear link, 7.5f spring, 7.75r, not sure of droop eye to eye and when grease on the diff gears is mentioned are you using silicone grease like on the smaller ball diffs I give them a coating of shock oil great for 1/10 diff gears not sure for the bigger cars, last mugen I ran was a bulldog many years ago, happy to be part of the mugen family again.

IMHO- If it rolls, oil it. If it slides such as gears, grease it. Best to use grease designated for gears. Ball diff grease is not really for gears, but anything is better than dry to get maximum life from ring and pinion. Grease protects better than oil. Doesn't take much if you go through your drive train every few race events. I think 50 lipos is a good inspection point for diffs. CVDs and wheel bearings depend on how clean track is. About 25 lipos for my loamy track.
Mugen is a really solid rig with large following. Hard to go wrong.

I'm trying out a 1750kv Orion that I was able to get cheap. Normally I run 1900-2100 motors. I am running the stock kit gearing with 15 degrees of timing and the other buggies very slowly walk away on the straights. I catch up in the turns so I'm not running any slower lap times but I'm wondering if gearing up would be a better option to gain back the lost speed than adding timing. Stock gearing and the timing I have now I'm at 153 degrees after a 10 minute main, thanks

O and I see some of you are running the smc 1900 motor. I got one and the sensor board in the motor went out after one battery pack with the motor only reaching 135 degrees. It runs fine sensor less. How is Danny's customer service? Think he will replace/repair it? That's the reason I got the Orion cause there was a big race yesterday and I didn't have time to try and get it fixed

Are there better front lower arms for the 7 eco? I have broke two now. Seems to be a weak link. I never had this problem with my 6 eco.
