Did you seal the carbon towers before using them?

I hear ya. I ran the CF towers on the Tekno Ebuggy back in the day and took them off after 2 race days.

has anybody used epoxy to seal CF towers?
Ideally the CF sheets will be laminated with epoxy...but because they seem to delaminate, they are probably using something different, maybe a polyester? There are lots of options, and they are all cheaper than epoxy.
I just know that epoxy is the ideal resin for "advanced" composites like carbon fiber and kevlar. These materials can be laminated with a non-epoxy resin, but the resin becomes the weakest link. Epoxy should be used to maximize the potential of the fabric.
You would want to use a thin epoxy (ideally laminating epoxy, but it's probably just weird that I have stuff like that laying around?). Also, heating it will make it flow better and cure faster.
I guess the idea of CA glue never felt like a good solution to me. I don't think it has the right characteristics to hold a laminate together? But obviously everyone has a bottle of the stuff, so it is easy to recommend.

Its time to replace the pins in my dogbones. Does the Mugen tool work and is it worth the money or is there another way? Also what size pins? Also, I'm replacing my shock bladders since they are a couple years old now. Is everyone using stock ones or are there some super duper ones out there now everyone has? Thanks

Cant seem to get the wheel nuts off. Am I missing something?
#1918
if that 17mm nut is really tight, you may damage the wheel ( i guess you re holding the wheel, right ? )
to avoid this, you may add a screwdriver through the universal joint
you may also hit the wheelnut with a light hammer : it may help loosening a bit !

Hey guys, just got a new kit and am wondering, has anyone else had missing or wrong parts while building theirs? A buddy just finished his and he was missing diff shims, and I just found out they sent only one straight turnbuckle end and three angled ones. Not a big deal, just interrupts the build and kind of a bummer. I've built quite a few kits from tekno, Durango, and associated and am very organized with keeping my parts together. Is this been something others have experienced?

Thanks. That worked..just had to lean on it a little.
