How did you fit a 6500? I have a SMC 5500 and does not fit without tilting the body.

what currently is a setup that is considered a good starting point for rough extremely loose tracks that have big jumps?

here is a video of my 7Reco from last Friday at LCRC. I started 7th and worked up to 5th at the end. Running the Drake standard setup on AKA Gridirons with Tekin RX8gen2 and 2050kv motor.

For those who have the eco and nitro car , how similar are their driving characteristics ? In my experience the e car and nitro are always a bit different , same with the mbx7r ? What's different in your opinion ?

Does anyone have any insight on springs for bashing? My MBX7R eco is probably 1.5 lbs heavier than most setups and the hardest springs I have aren't enough. I use a short course body, longer can motor, and heavier batteries. I looked into custom making springs at leesprings, but it's more than I'm willing to pay. Most websites require bulk or over a certain $ amount. I'm estimating my buggy weighs about 9 lbs, so I'm looking for 9 lb/in springs or slightly softer/harder.

you may consider to change the connecting point of the shocks to the lower arms with a little piece of aluminium, just like the kyosho psycho cruiser ( check this picture : http://www.the-kyosho-store.com/uplo...564_grande.jpg )

if you do this + change the shocks towers for the mbx7T ones, you won't need to put harder springs ( but you will loose some suspension travel )

I don't know if I want to change the suspension geometry. I just want the ride height of my car to be higher. The only way I can do that is to attach clips that don't really fit the big bores.

you may use a aluminium tube from the hardware store to preload the stock spring a bit more

They drive very similar, however the nitro buggy feels more nimble overall. Turns a little better and more lively in the air as well.

I've decided to throw in the towel on my TLR 4.0 and bought a new MBX7R Eco today. I'm seriously considering going with Hobbywings 2250kv because the my Orion VST2 1900v has way to much low end...anyone run the HW 2250?

I have a Hobbywing XR8 plus and a HW 2250 motor it has more than enough power through its whole rpm range, I don't really like the bullet connectors that the motor has, I would look into HW new brushless motors that have solder tabs on the motor.
