The Leadfinger Racing Assassin body is amazing. Covers a 4s lipo with no issues and the body is unbelievably durable.

Looking for suggestions on pistons with more pack. The stock pistons don't seem to have enough pack as my car wants to bottom out off of any medium to large sized jumps. I went up to almost 650 cst oil which helps (but doesn't eliminate) the bottoming, but then the rebound became too slow.

I tried the 5x1.35 pistons and to me it felt like the car's handling became inconsistent. So now I'm on the hunt for something different to try.

Default upgrade to the 7r eco

Hay Guys,
Just wondering if it would be worth upgrading A MBX6 eco to the 7R specs??

Thanks

Its much easier to convert a MBX7 to R spec, than trying to piece an X6/X7 hybrid together. There are a lot more differences between the two, and you would need to know specifically what will work and what won't. Plus depending on how much you want to spend, and later on if you want to sell it, you may not see any of that cost returned to you.

I am using Vision Racing Products 5x1.5 pistons with a 400cst range of oils and the car is planted. I highly recommend VRP pistons in a ebuggy so you can have enough pack for over jumping but keeping your rebound consistent.

Has anyone tried to retrofit the ball bearing steering rack out of the rc8b3e into the mbx7r eco buggy?

I've personally never tried VRP pistons so can't speak to that. I use Kyosho 6x1.3 pistons. 40f/35r for oil and Mugen 9.0x1.6 springs front and 10.25x1.6 springs rear. Honestly, I don't think you'll ever completely eliminate bottoming out at times and still keep a good piston package. It just happens. The package I mentioned above is a solid one though. Just my $.02.

I think that the Servo Saver Arm offset and the spacing will not work as the servo as mounted in the MBX7 Buggies is different (the offset angle is greater in the RC8B3 series). Plus the Ackerman plate needs to be mounted on the top instead of below. Perhaps maybe someone has toyed with it already, yet I have not had much problem out of the stock Mugen one, on either Buggy or Truggy.
