Mugen MBX7R Eco thread!
#1486
Just picked up a used MBX7R Eco and the guy said it came with a new chassis but when I got it torn down to rebuild it I discovered that the chassis is not stock. Does anybody know what chassis this is and who makes it. The only thing the chassis is missing is the holes for the rear weight and it is also about a 1/2 inch narrower then the stock one. Just concerned if it is going to enhance or decrease performance. The pic on the left is the aftermarket one. Any help would be great.

Do whatever this guy says. I watched him put down couple of TLRs during a race. I have never seen ebuggy do what he did. It looked like it was on rails. The way it breaks, accelerates, and lands off of jumps. Impressive!
Would you mind sharing your setup. If you don't have the whole thing, I'll settle for springs, pistons, and oils. I don't even have the 7, but wold like to experiment with my 6.
Thanks.

Could someone please help me with what parts are needed to do the clutch system like Drake's?
I do know I need to shim up the diff housing.
Thanks m

Tlr makes one that will work. Part # TLR342003. I wanted to know how many of you are running the 40g weight that drakes has listed in his setup sheets.

adam drake added 40 grams in the rear ?
is it to calm down the rear end ? does he use it too on small indoor tracks ?
don't let him drive a tekno eb48, he will add 240grs in the rear end !!

Does the steering on the 7r work on the 7? Tried to mount up but having an issue obviously Ackerman plate is different but seems as if the uprights and top plate are the same.

For those guys running the clutch/traktion drive system, could someone please tell me or show me how you modified your center diff mounts to get the diff flipped around? I have seen some pictures of Drake's buggy but none were close enough to really tell what was going on there. Thanks guys!!

because of the pinion so close to the radio box, you have to get the servo cable through another hole !

Hey guys sorry, I know this was covered multiple times but I can find it listed. I'm just trying to see what percentage of the mbx7 Eco crosses over to the mbx7r Eco. I know most of the rear geometry is different and different chassis but is the rest mostly the same? I currently have a mbx7r Eco and love it. I have a chance to get a good deal on a clean mbx7 Eco and would use it as a parts car. Trying to decide if it's worth it. Thanks for the help.

took the most flashiest colour in the shop ( they didn't have any neon colours...)
did someone say pumpkin ?
by the way , note the proline trifecta wing : looks great ! I added the decals and it's really a nice RC piece !
wheels are premounts from Conrad : cheap but too stiff... I will use them for mild bashing and not jumping
