The Mugen is a good car for sure, just a bit too "live" in the rear end for me- but I'm kinda newbish to ebuggy. I know that officially Tekin doesn't recommend running the motors that hot, but I know a few guys who have run theirs for multiple seasons at 230-235 and still going strong. Kind of a "at your own risk" thing.

pulled the trigger!

Tekin T8i 1950kv
HW Sct Pro
hitech 7955tg

I'll have to see how the motor goes. I was advised in that thread to keep the weight down as much as possible. Any recommendations?

tower. had a $100 off if I spent $625. I grabbed a set of AKA's, and a couple other things. Already had the servo and motor. I have the hitech in my eb48.2 and a savox 1258. I am going to try both and see which one I like better. Whatever one that is will go in the mugen. I just need the esc and I'm set. going to pick that up from fierce.

$499 at stormer is solid. I did the math a few times and for what I got at tower it just made sense.

A main has a Ti screw kit available, actually 2 kits- an upper and a lower screw kit. Would save significant weight. CF towers will shave some weight as well.

I ran indoor last Friday and did really well with my mugen. Started 2nd over all. Missed TQ by one bobble. So she was running really well, pretty stable. I tried csi Vport 37/32. Outdoor over the weekend and it was a mess. The car drove just fine but in a small rythem section. If I wasn't perfect, and I mean perfect it would get a left to right bouncy that wasn't recoverable. You had to stop and let the car settle. Outside hole in arms, middle hole on tower f/r long link in rear, 6500 battery. Any ideas? What are you guys running for Pistons, fluids, battery. Otherwise this thing is a beast

Settled on 15/44 after getting a few more packs in. 16/44 (drakes setup) was running mid 190s. Dropping a tooth dropped 10 degrees and I'm satisfied with the results.

I haven't noticed the rear end losing traction with the setup, but I haven't run it on a loose surface yet.

lipos that cheap always make me wonder. seems like most get 10 minutes out of them. light weight is a plus as that's what I'm looking for. looks like it could be hit or miss. I'd hate the to be the guy that it caught fire on. but considering "frank's" spelling skills I'm not sure if he misused it.

Looks like you have the upper arms upside down . Flip it around were the lip is facing up and the flat side facing down .
