Still need to order a black servo arm (blue was all I had in my pit box) and a transponder. Would have liked a black rx8 case and still might get one but that is me being a little ocd. Was trying to avoid the 1/8th scale bug, but I got bit.
Do your rear springs bind on the shock bodies like mine? I just finished last night

Same thing with my buggy. It will ware in as the buggy gets worked in or you can dremel it down a bit.

Either I built it incorrectly (which I can't see that I have), or it's a design floor?
Nope that's been the way it is been since we started running the ackerman backwards on the old 7 and with the updated ackerman its hits the case also .... with over 2 years on my old 7 and no issues i wouldn't worry about it because I haven't.....

Yeah looks really similar. I like the quick access diff. Seems that everybody is going to pillow ball lately.

Bind, no, rub, yes. Not a big deal IMO for a tank like an ebuggy. I would be concerned if it was doing that on my 1/10th buggy though.

Relief to know its normal. So do you guys just set the epa until before it touches the case? Or let it dig in? My endpoints are around 60% just before hitting the case...which seems low.

No, set the epa like normal. From what people are saying it will wear in.

It does really well against the nitro buggies in the more technical portions of the track.

One thing I can state for sure is this is a very durable buggy. It has been a few years since I last drove, and I am very hard on it. The only thing I have broken other than a severely abused body and wing has been a front shock end when It came in contact with a object that did not move.
What ESC are you running? I am running the SMC 1900kv and with a 15T my motor is on the hot side. I have the Tekin RX8 gen 2 and might need to play around with the ESC settings.

Oh yeah, no I'm not guessing at any of this. There are numerous guys at my local track that run mugen (it's the car of the week until the new AE comes out) & the phantom & have tried the body on my car (I REALLY like it, but do not want to deal with the fitment issues).
I like the thinner lipo but I can't see it make 8:00 heat race.

Hello r1. Put some washers under the front body mount and a long screw. That might work?
Maybe do the same in the rear??

I am running the 150amp Xerun Hobby Wing ESC. No timing boost. I have not recored over 157 degrees to date but it has not been very hot far as ambient temps go. I may get a chance to run a bit tomorrow and I will keep good track of temps. I am running SMC 4600mah batteries I am getting over 10 min on a pack. They are over 6oz lighter then the 6500's which I also have. I prefer the way the car handles with the lighter batteries but I did put lighter springs on the car with the lighter batteries.

I am not expert at setup but have been learning quickly.
