Ordered a kit Saturday night and it should be at my house today. Still need to order all the other goodies. Need some input on good motor, ESC combo, and battery. I'm running Tekin in my pro4. But talking to some at the track last night and they are using Viper esc and tekin motor. I have Viper in my T4.2, but I'm hearing they aren't available right now. Hobbywing was also suggested. My first thought was another Tekin system, but I'm open for suggestions. Also, what about servo? I've got a Hi-Tech 7955TG (Don't remember exact number) in my Pro 4 that I'm happy with. I was just going to get one of those.

I love my tekin ESC, but I like the price of the SMC 1900kv motor. The savox 2274 is great & came down in price recently because they released the 228X series all aluminum servos. My next servo will be a savox 2282.

Another question I have is battery. Looking for a what would be a good size and brands to use. I race on smaller indoor tracks mostly, but also large outdoor some in summer time. I use SMC currently with my other vehicles, but I don't really see any 4S available right now on their website.

I run SMC and they have been great for me. Give them a call or just pre-order them, it doesn't take much time to get them in. For delivery dates I just call them, number on their website.

I just realised I have another longer tension rod E2107A. I used the E2107B as instructed in the manual. Whats the purpose for the longer tension rod?

Intellect 5000mah/100c shorty´s. Remove the battery tray. Buy at Tekno battery tray and cut in half. Remove the ESC from left rear to front right, and remove the servo to front left. You just lowered the batterys 25mm and removed 200-250 grams, and created better ballance. You will go at least 5% faster on the track with this setup. This is the future for E buggys, it´s just a ? of time, before everybody does is. Hobbyking has some nice cheap Titanium servo mounts. You will need to make new holes in the chassis and all, but it pays off. I did it with my old MBX7, and i will build my new R this way. I will take pics, when it's done in a few weeks if anybody´s interested. Enjoy guys

Hi,

I am almost ready to buy a MBX7R, could you please suggest me which are the most vulnerable components so that I can purchase a bunch of spare parts ?

Does it have mm or inches screws ?

Thanks

Ive tried alot of batteries but I always come back to Maxamps. We run the 6500mah. Plenty of power and run time. Durability is second to none.

+1 on promatch! I bought one from them recently when SMC was oos. Their 6500mah is 3mm shorter on the side. This lets it fit under the body better.
