That will most likely be the route I take, it will "pinch" the body to the side guards a little, but nothing major. The body is actually a regular 7r body not an eco, which might be why I am having some issue.

You could also try some hobby store foam under the shell between the body and posts

We have the Tekin RX8 esc. I noticed the cooling fan was not working so ordered some new fans. Now the fan runs a couple of seconds when initially turned on then stops. Is that normal? Is there a heat sensor that activates the fan or should it run continuously? Thanks.

Anyone ever had an issue with the wheel nuts coming loose or coming off? Happened to me about 5 times Saturday when I was out practicing!

Yeah it happened to me twice at pnb while using pro-line wheel nuts.the left rear wheel nut came off in my first qualifier while running 2nd on the last lap. It came loose in another qualifier but didn't fall off . I ended up buying some more wheel nuts. And haven't had a problem since.I don't think it was a problem with the pro-line wheel nuts. But the ones I bought are more aggressive.

It's normal depending on the ESC generation and software. If it's a Gen2 make sure you update to v258 software.

On older software default was "fan auto on" which turns the fan on as needed. On the latest software and units, it's defaulted to "always on" which is required to use the new Hotwire 3.0.

Yup, a Gen1 by default is set to Auto, not Always.

Is anyone here using the HTD diffs? Are they that much better?

I wanted to go to the 42/12 underdrive setup, but I am hesitant to spend 150 plus on all new diffs. I can convert what I have to 42/12 for about 40 dollars.

Stock diffs w/ underdrive gears are treating me well. I don't run on high traction w/ 1/8th so I have no intentions on getting the new diffs. I thought I heard the new diffs really shine on high traction. I did about 8 races over the last 4 months w/ out changing the diff fluid/bearings and my diffs were full and bearings were still smooth. Tough to beat that, once work slows down I'll change the fluid every other race or before any important race.

Anybody have issues with center diff outdrives? I just noticed the pins on mine have major flat spots, and the outdrives are worn. I've put maybe 30 packs through the truck.

The front and rear outdrives are in great shape, no noticeable wear, and pins are good. I'm just curious if this is normal for the center to wear so quickly?
