Default Anyone running a brushed system?

I got bored over the weekend and found my old cases of brushed motors. I decided to swap out my brushless novak system for a 19 turn motor and a lipo capable brushed ESC in my 2wd buggy. I'll have to say that it was pretty quick on a 7.4 2s battery and may even race it at the track this weekend just for fun (well, if they'll let me into a class with this setup).

Anyone else running any brushed systems?

Only trouble w the x2 is the magnets are too strong. when you let off the throttle it locks up the rear. Adjust the slipper clutch .

B4 is pretty light... It might not be noticable in a SCT .

Running brushed is fun. It is definitely more work to keep a brushed motor running at its best but for some that is part of the appeal. The last time I ran my brushed RC10 at the track, I got quite a few questions about the motor.

It sure is! I have quite a few of brushed motors and luckily I rebuilt them before I went to brushless. It's amazing how much cheaper the brushed motors are now. I was looking on amainhobbies and they're only about 20-30 bucks (USD).

I'm going to try and convince my brother to give me his old dyno so I can do some testing on these motors.

I have an RC10, JRX2, LXT and my Venom Gambler still running brushed. My boy's 'basher' B4 is brushed as well. I know my JRX2 is just as quick on the track as any brushless car, but I do get the motor fade in the long mains

I just brought my Gambler back to life this weekend, cant wait to try it on the track.

That is one of the downfalls of the brushed motors. They do start to fade eventually. They're still fun to play around with...who knows...Maybe I'm just taking a walk down RC past times

They are fine for a 5-6 minutes, but the 7 to 10 minute mains is where the brushed fade monster comes out to play
