Default What is escale?

This may sound like a dumb question but recently I've been hearing a new term thrown around the track called E-Scale and I have no clue what they're talking about. Is it 1/8 scale?

It's a term for 1/8th scale Electric Buggy used by OH,PA,WV area racers. However, I've never heard it used anywhere outside of your area.

Escale or Ebuggy is 1/8 electric buggy, like NV said the term seems to be mainly the Ohio valley areas.

Yea, I came from a RC Airplane background so I kept thinking about ESCALE planes... I noticed a lot of things in Ohio are called different things than what I'm used to but I still keep trying
