Needs more life.. I can assist with that.. LOL..

I ordered it on 11/20/15 and it arrived on 11/27/15.

I unboxed itand looked it over. Not a bad looking truck and the design is preety simple but decent. I plugged a lipo in and got ready to run it, I turn to grab the body and clips and my wife screams "unplug it" unplug it"!!!

I look down and the esc is smoking and stinking up the living room. I had to stop myself from saying a swear word. LOL

I reached and unplugged it and the deans plug came off the esc wires. I called tower's 800 number and was told i am under warranty and call the service dept on monday between 9-5. So in the meantime, I had a 3300kv motor and 120 amp esc to drop in it. I mounted the esc onto the rx box, set gear mes and took it to the parking lot out back.

1st impressions, truck is a bit slow for having a 4 pole motor. Suspnsion feels a bit soft and there is slight body roll. I am sure if I try different shock oils or new shocks in general it may stop or make the suspension better.

sucks about the ESC but at least you had a backup I read gearing it up and or switching to the smaller spur gear has helped with the speed problem.

Look forward to hearing more about it...

I wonder if the 2 year warranty is extended for the electronics? I wonder what happened to your ESC??

During my lunch break yesterday, I called their Hobby Services services dept and explained what had happened. After verifying the order and so on, they told me that they would be shipping me out a new esc once they are back in stock.

No questions asked, just sending one out. I assumed I would have to email them photos or at least box up the esc and ship it to them.

Yes, it was a good thing that I had a spare esc on hand. I plan to change the gearing soon.

Has anyone tried aftermarket shocks or other oils in the shocks?

I hope the thread continues more. I like this truck.

Dude, you gotta post about yours when you get it. I'll post my first thoughts on it tonight

cool order chris555..

I ordered two swaybar sets (front and rear). I am wondering what shocks to replace the stock with when and if I mess mine up. LOL

tower has aluminium shocks. they had pre-assembled ones, but now can only find kits for them. they are out there.

I may try the aluminum ones when and if I break the stocks.

I did see them (stock plastic) assembled on ebay.

Mine came last night, I must say I was impressed with the look and feel of the truck. It definitely has some weight to it, hopefully I can get it out today if it stops raining. By the way it is on sale right now for 219.99 and tower has a $30 coupon code. So you can get this thing for 190.00 which is a steal.

There she is. After 6 runs, she is a fun truck.

The swaybar kits I bought. One pictured.

The manual.

Stock 2.4 transmitter. Its a decent one. Just as good as any other rtr transmitter.

A shot "under the hood".

The temporary esc I put in after the stock one fried. Its a TSky 120amp sensored/sensorless esc. Can be programmed using a hobbywing programming card/box/ Easy to calibrate and set up. I paid $22.00 for it via ebay. Found out about this esc months back on another forum.

The motor. Its a GForce 3300kv 4 pole motor. I picked this up from Valuehobby.com for 25.00. I bought it for a project that didnt happen. I could have easily used the stock 3600 4 pole motor that came with the truck except at the time of the frying, with my mind all clustered, I used what was available. The stock motor has 3.5mm bullets on it and the tsky esc has 4mm. ( i soldered those on to use with the gforce motor originally)

So far, I am liking this truck. I have noticed while browsing through the spare parts section over at Tower that there are some upgrade parts available.
