I just picked one up. Ordered it this past friday night after work, used a coupon code and paid less than 225.00 and I am waiting for it to arrive.

I would buy the turnbuckles off a slash 4x4 from ebay chop shop and replace all the turnbuckles so they are adjustable fand stronger than stockfor about $15 or less.

Car was disappointingly slow out of the box, you can replace the gearing for better speed.

Thanks for the tip. I know tower now offers a set of adjustable links. But I may go the slash route

I went the slash 4x4 turnbuckle route because they were cheap at like $10 shipped for the set which I was able to change out the entire truck on the cutback including the steering servo buckle as well.

I could have used the slash 4x4 links that I once had in my spare parts box back when I had the slash 4x4.

Ah well.

I am guessing the traxxas links are of better quality.

Last night I scored a set of slash 4x4 links on ebay under 10.00

I also looked in one of my older parts boxes and found a servo link I can use.

I am unsure right now. Maybe someone here knows.

Once mine arrives, I can measure the hex with a caliper and try my blitz wheels

@slowrc

Mine arrived last night. I measured the hubs and they are 5mm thick, so traxxas slash 2wd rear, hpi f & r, slash 4x4 f & r and most standard sc wheels will work.

That's a good thing. This way you have spares and more options.
