I took the cutback out for 2 runs this morning. Truck is holding up great.

I just got the adjustable turnbuckle set and spare set of stock wheels from Tower in today. I also picked up a bottle of Losi 45wt shock oil.

Sorry to hear that. Been there with other trucks.

I wondered the same. I thought about getting a set of front and rear Losi scte shocks.

There are a lot of choices out there, I think the traxxas Platinum/ultimate 4x4 2nd generation shocks are a great choice.

I was looking at pro line shocks, or the upgrade ones from tower. anyone have a clue of what size battery pack for radio that comes with the cutback? Did some runs out in my yard and in my driveway yesterday. speed is definitely noticeable. chirped the tire a little. looks like I have a toe in problem on the left front. i may have not assembled the linkage in the same hole they came off of. have to take a look when get the free time.

I was also looking at tower hobbies alum shocks but 30 bucks for just a pair seems pricey for a "tower hobbies" brand.

GTR's look like a good choice. So do the Losi scte shocks. I did see a video on youtube of a guy putting proline pro spec shocks on his.

As far as a battery pack for the transmitter, I would say 2100mah, just mae sure the pack has a JST plug.

Keep us posted on the new gearing you are trying. Sounds good.

And awesome about the 3s on the way.

17\54 gearing is what i am running. 2-2s 25c 5000mah and one 2s 25c 4000mah. i rather pay $27 then $57 for shocks. can buy two sets of each front and back for what proline wants.

make sure you measure the shock length's on the Cutback. I think that both front and rear are around 100mm which means you would need 2 set's of rear Traxxas GTR's.
