Default Trinity D4 mod motor

Anybody running one? I'm thinking about running an 8.5t D4 in my 4wd buggy. What do you guys think of them?

love my 17.5. Tons of torque. Don't know much about mod motors though.

Trinity make great motors. Brand and model of choice makes little difference for mod though. It's far more important when choosing a stock spec motor. There are performance differences between brands, but with mod motors if one brand tends to be a little weaker, you can just buy a lower turn.

Personally, I'd go with a 6.5 for 4wd buggy.

The D4 is a great motor for Spec racing and Modified racing. Motor choice for a 4wd buggy really depends on the driver and the size of the track. On a small to medium size track the 7.5 is a great choice. On a larger indoor track or outdoor track the 6.5 might be more suitable.

I agree ^^^

I ran outdoors on a large track and ran a 6.5t in my B44 a few years back.

I have an 8.5 in my 22 rear motor and I love it. Smooth powerband and fast.

I run outdoor, but it's a really tight, technical track.

I would choose a 7.5 if its tight. Much easier to mange the power in the tight sections. You can always add timing for top end if needed.

What is the difference between EAM1701RM and TRITEP1701RM?
