I really want to get this, but as winter approaches I won't be able to use it until the spring. I'm normally the kind of person who doesn't care and just spends money like an idiot until the credit card bill comes and I get yelled at, however I'll wait until spring in hopes that the price goes down a bit.

Alright guys, the truggy had a run at the track yesterday.

My original suspisions were confirmed, this thing needs a mud guard. The track was a little moist in some areas and after running for a tank I noticed that the engine was getting too hot. I took the body off and there was mud EVERYWHERE! The part inbetween the pipe and engine was fill with about an inch of mud and everywhere else.

My friend's TTR ST1 was very clean after running it for two tanks since it has mud guards. I can't believe Jammin would overlook something this important. I am going to see whether I can fit the Jammin guards on there and trim the body around it. I don't have two hours to clear the car after a tank of running.

I took 20 minutes today and made some ghetto mud guards for the car out of scrap lexan. The front portion worked great since there are three screw holes in the chassis, but I had to glue the rest of it down. Lets see how it works.

P.S. Ignore the tape, they're just there till the glue dries.

could you not have used two-way [servo] tape to hold it down instead of glue

There are many ways to do it, but I figured since I was going to shoe goo the part of the lexan that I bent it would be best just to glue it as well.

You can say that I got lazy.

Best way would be to paint the lexan too.

Hey Diggler,
I actually bought it off these forums yesterday... I hope to receive it by the end of this week or early next week.

I was browsing the support forums to keep myself busy till it arrives... I love the support that the Nomadio team is providing the community. I look forward to getting my V2 receiver, seems to solve some of the problem.

Did you take your V1 apart and glue that capacitor? Seems to be the major problem right now.

WeatherB, haven't had a problem yet.Just ran my x1-crt yesterday for the first time since breaking in the motor.I put digital servos in the truck and I am amazed at the speed of this system. You still going to run your truck in the snow?I was thinking of setting up my mammoth st for a little snow fun.I'll use my cheapest electronics in the truck.Let me know how your truck handles the great white north.

Nomadio support is second to none.I have had a couple of problems,(one of the problems was my son playing with settings, thought it was a transeiver problem, nomadio replaced it with no questions asked)but they took care of it instantly.

I ran my onroad a couple of times in cold weather without having any engine problems...

I've also sealed up my electronics so hopefully nothing bad happens.

Is anyone running a 528xr? If so, what temp are you running at and how are you setting your low end needle? Thanks for the help.

Temps on all of the 528XRs vary widely according to weather conditions where you are, fuel used, etc. I've see temps vary between 220-280F on countless 528's, and it depends on the weather more than anything. That's a wide window but you shouldn't tune to temperatures EVER---tune to performance and check temps as a reference.

I tune the LSN to provide a good idle and quick acceleration from a standstill after 5 seconds or so of standing still. It'll load just slightly and accelerate cleanly after the first few feet.
