Default Stadium vs Monster

I'm moving out to the country and I'm looking for something I can just have fun with out back, not necessarily race, but maybe at a club level for fun. I've been looking at the Tamiya TNX which seems the best bang for the buck.
But I thought I might look at a stadium style truck or buggies as well. Are those any good for backyard bashing fun?

Also I'm looking at nitro so i don't have to mess with packs out in a field?

Thanks ahead. I've been browsing looking for some comparisions but its either monster to monster or stadium to stadium. No cross comparisons.

check out the Hot Bodies stadium lightning awesome stadium truck, basically a buggy, longer arms and i think longer chassis. it has a .26 with electric start. would handle backyard bashing just grouse. www.hotbodiesonline.net
