Default Upgrading to Brushless

Looking to replace my brushed Titon 12T on slash 2wd to brushless. What is the difference in VXL Vilineon combo kit (motor&ESC) 229.00 cad compared with CC Sidewinder SCT combo 129.99 cad? I imagine I will also have to switch the pinion gear and spur gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spur will be fine, may need a new pinion depending on which motor you end up going with. As for the difference the VXL system is simply overpriced. Not saying its a bad system by any means but it is way overpriced. I would get this setup personally and never look back.

The 3800 motor found in the sct kit is made more for 4wd short course trucks, it will work but you'll have more torque then you'll ever need. The 4600 would be a better choice IMO

VXL is a 2-pole 3500KV sensorless setup. The castle will be a 4-pole sensorless setup (KV choices of 3800 4600 and 5700) and will produce a lot more torque and simply be faster to boot.

I would not get the 5700, not really a SC motor in any case.

All in all, Castle is a better value.
