Default Losi Strike

Hello new to the hobbie (about 6 months). I haven't graduated to racing yet. I have a traxxas slash 4x4 Ultimate that I love. Anyway, I picked up a Losi Strike SCT really cheap for $60. Dude didn't want it. It's all stock, brushed, nice shape. I've heard these aren't very good racing trucks. Might just tinker with it, bash, etc...OR is it worth investing a little to eventually race? Any thoughts on upgrades especially an inexpensive brushless kit (motor/esc) that will fit. Any other tips or tricks would be great. Thanks!

They are decent for bashing, that's about all. Don't invest any money into it.

Your Slash 4x4 is a much better racer.

Bash/play with it for awhile and you'll quickly see that it's not worth investing much if any money into.

It was just a terrible truck from the start and they quickly discontinued it for good reason.

Yeah I would just use it to work on improving driving skill. Don't bash it too hard or you'll end up spending a fortune on it anyway. For $60 you cant really go wrong tho, just try to avoid jumps or anything that will put it in harms way

The cheap metal that the gears are made of won't last long. If u instal a brushless system , you will realy tear up the transmission. Overall it's a closed and disappointing chapter in Losi history.

Yup, unfortunately I think you overpaid by $50. But run it and have fun with it, at least for as long as it lasts.
