Default Installing a new antenna?

just got a new antenna to match the color of my truck. and when i went to install it the old antenna is like glued into the top of the receiver box. should i just pull hard so it comes loose? or is there a special way to do it? thanks everyone

why not open the electronics box, pull out the antenna from underneath. Then put on your big boy pants to pull out the plastic tubing from the cover.

lol thanks man. this is my 1st RC car so i dont want to mess anything up. just trying to be safe, thanks for the help

the blind leading the blind Theres a set screw directly beside the antenna tube, remove that completely and the tube will slide right out.
