How many own more than one of the same rc car?
So most likely a second weekend will pass as I wait for parts for my 8.2e to come in. Every time something breaks I order in other parts that will be needed in the future also. I just haven't owned the buggy long enough to get everything I want as a spare. So how many have more than one of the same car to keep them going while hey wait for parts? I'm in Canada so everything takes much longer. Been tempted to buy the rc8.2e factory team that is sitting on the shelf at the hobby shop.

I have 4 vehicles that share the same platform, 2 of them being identical, and the other 2 being identical except for the chassis and bumpers. If I need a fresh differential during a race I will typically grab a full transmission out of one and put it in the one I need, then rebuild the other one at home.

ALWAYS have the usual spare parts that are needed and or a second vehicle or kit. Why let a $5 part keep you from practicing/racing?

I have 2 XB8'14's. One is built and the other is a new kit put in parts boxes for parts. I also took the diffs and shocks out of the new kit and built them with different oils then the ones that are on the built car. This way if I want to try a different shock or diff setup all I have to do is swap them. Makes changes so much easier.

I have two TLR 22 3.0 buggies. The first was bought used and upgraded for stock racing including slipper eliminator, MiP pucks, schelle bearings and an exotek laydown. The second was my Spec-racer which I built from a kit and have been racing in Sportsman the past month. I've been having better results (or just getting more experience, been racing less than a year) and sometimes get the bump up from the B-main. Now I have a backup or occasionally run the second one in novice.

I always own 2 of the same buggies. Went from 2 RB6's, to 2 Yokomo's and now to 2 B6's. Makes things easier most of the time..
