Default Good Cheap 2wd Buggy ESC

Hey guys, sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching and maybe im just not using the right key words but i couldn't find anything.

Anyway, i'm looking for a cheap but reliable esc for my RC10B5, I have been looking at the toro ts50 but it says its only good for a 11.5 turn and up motor in a buggy, I have a nice 8.5t I would like to use. Any idea if this would work? I'm wondering if maybe the 11.5 turn rating is for 4wd buggy? Reason i'm interested in this esc is because i can get it for $50...

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

I personally use a Hobbywing Xtreme Stock ESC in my 2wd buggy with a 9.5 motor. Runs awesome and only $62 US.

Speed Passion Reventon R is good for the money.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speed-Passio...item20dddb9c84

Comes with a programming card, can handle down to 5.5T motor.

This:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28377__Hobbyking_174_X_Car_120A_Brushless_Car_ES C_sensored_sensorless_.html

It's really inexpensive and reliable as well. I'm running it in a mod class DEX 410 with motors up to 5.5t
It's compatible with the Hobbywing 2.1 Series ESC and you can even run their firmware with all the gimmicks.
Amazing bang for your bucks, IMHO.

My Hobbywing Xtreme Stock works better than any Tekin, LRP, or Novak I ever owned! Can't go wrong with Hobbywing! All of my cars run Hobbywing.

+1 on the Xcar 120A ESC. Running it in my Spyder MM buggy with a 7.5. Smooth and reliable. Cannot beat the price. You can also buy the exact same ESC from Brushless Hobbies in the States, but he is selling them for $60. He just changes the labels, but it's the same ESC. I wish Hobbywing would stock the Xcar ESC in the USA warehouse!

Another option might be a castle sidewinder sv3. I believe they are about $60 new on eBay and it's probably worth the extra money because, hey, it's castle creations. One thing I was surprised to hear though is that castle escs can handle up to 1 turn motors. That's because I have heard that all castle motors are 1 turn motors, just modified to produce different kv and torque. I do like the idea of the hobbyking esc, though. If you get it, let us know how it runs.

If I was getting back into 4x4 buggy I'd use a 4x4 system and a 4 pole motor. Never tried it, be we used to nuke 5.5's in 4x4 buggy all the time. (on grippy sandy clay 1/8th scale tracks)

But for 2wd try the Hobbywing.

Lots of good suggestions, I normally run castle stuff in my bashers but I was looking for something a bit smaller. I have a mamba max pro in there now and it just takes up too much space and isn't as smooth as I would like.

For a 2wd buggy skip Castle. For sensored motors Castle ESCs are not very good.

Take a hard look at the Speed Passion I linked. I can also agree with the suggestion of the Hobbyking X-Car ESC. It's very good for the money. I have 2 that I beat on with tons of boost and timing and they keep on ticking.

The XCar 120 amp is a good deal. I've had 3, one of them had a bad sensor board from the start, but the other 2 have been flawless. Currently run one in my Blitz ESE w/a 10.5 Tekin, and it is very smooth. Running the Hobbywing software as well.
