Default Mugen Mbx6-T 7s

Hello!

This time i wanted a 1/8 Truggy so i choosed one second hand cause i can't afford newer kit's!
It will be a speeder but also a lighter basher focused more on speed bashing on grass!

I bought a nitro chassis from a Mugen mbx6-t and it was like this:

-Removed the Nitro motor and still have, if anyone have interest

-Gathered a brushless kit specific for the Mugen Mbx6-T nitro and starting converting it.

It needed a body and a new wing & tires by the way... so:

-I liked so much this body that i can't resist to try it out... it fits with some diy work, but all my stuff is modded so...

I have a very open road on this one since it's a 1/8 scale that hurts the wallet so this will take maybe more then a year to finish.

I choosed a motor for it, and the guilty was another user that adviced it and i tought it should be to another "manly" project but it will sit in here since it's a Truggy! It's just a normal motor suited more for "truggys".

Opinions are welcome for the project, as usual since earing others people thoughts we all learn a little more!
My concern is only the diff's, but when on tarmac & grass we should see to remedy it! Any advice if the diff's need any care on the mbx6t? Since they are not new....

Thanks in advance...

I will try to keep this updated as i can. Have already decide on what ESC and what Lipo, but that for now is a secret

Very cool. Is it going to be mainly road? Or a combination of road and dirt?,

More of a combination of light grass basher and some road speeder! Not just a speeder!

Slow build continues...

-Size comp to some other rc's....

-Everything wired and ready to go....

lol

"later"

-Well it's already done and it was me who did the work! It will not be perfect 100% like a machinist but i see 99.9% out of it! Done!

-If i remember right, cause it was bought an year ago it was from an Online shop in Sweden, they had a great price on it i i couldn't resist it. I could look the number of the Mugen kit and tell you to google it. I remember that i did not have the manual and was a little tricky to find that mugen kit, but internet delivered it!

So with the motor shaft from 8mm to 5mm done... i got myself into more work

-Shaft 5mm done!

-Since the motor is an open motor, i use high temp silicone to seal it! Ready for 6kw of dirt raw power!

I wired a test esc to the motor to test it..
And i eared a "click" on the drivetrain. Well it is second hand.. so i know it could happen...

-Open the diffs... and find who's the guilty!

-Found... it was the front pinion gear! She a little wear out... and had a shim. I put 3 shim's on her and one more on the ring... seens good. Parts orderd already since this is gonna last just not like new!

-I open the bearings e-clip with a pin.

-I use 1:1 disc brake to clean bearings.

-Grease the bearings with teflon based grease!

-Put new silicone oil on the front diff.

Need to work now on the center one and rear one. But no click's now after the added shims!

Ehehe, not one but 2 lipos

-Hacked the nitro receiver boxer into the a batery tray rear end, to make room for these 2 lipos.

Yep...for 7s it can be only one!

(motor is not mine but motor mount is )
