Guys, I have a question:
I was driving on a small clay indoor track, same as the one I will race on next weekend. It is a 20sec lap track with fairly big jumps and smooth yet bit mushy surface. Problem was at the end of the straight. When I braked, the rear end lifted a lot. I mean, really acrobatic style. The car was still composed and reactive, but I feel would be better with all wheels safely touching ground. Moreover, in the fastest turn, the rear inner wheel lift as well.
I'm with mugen linear springs (F 9.75 R 10.59, VRP pistons 8x1.3, oil F 550 R 400, diffs 10k 10k 3k (F-C-R). The car drives well and jumps nicely and composed. A friend advised to lighten the central diff. What do you think?

you could limit your rear droop some.. to help with the rear lifting like that.. try a stiffer sway bar to combat the tire lifting the rear end.. but sometimes that is just going to happen on high bite tight tracks.

also.. i think your shock oils might be on the soft side..

I am having a hard time finding these pistons do you have any stock numbers please? only ones i found are Hot Bodies and the price is crazy, and if you don't mind reposting your latest set up sheet.

AE pistons are 81200. they are in stock at tower and at amain.

im only using the mugen pistons in the rear because thats what i had available. you should be able to drill the AE blanks. i didnt have access to the AE blank pistons

Mugen pistons
MUGE2534 drilled to 1.5, they are in stock at amain.

Thank you dgrobe for your comment. I will try the droop move. I'm already with the heaviest sway bar.
Yep, i'm seriously considering going up with oil weight. Indoor racing is quite different compared to outdoor.
Cheers

i have been running the proline body 3453-00. predator for the RC8B3e. works good, some small tweaks at the rear, around the side guards.

So the media is reporting the most dominate driver in recent history moving to team Xray and no mention of his name anywhere in this thread? I predict Ty Tessmann and Gord will bring xray to the mainstream while also improving an already awesom platform. This is big news and good for all of us xray peeps. I'm pretty pumped to see tessmann xb8 setups in the future!

Can't wait, dont get me wrong the car is good and runs competitive lap times. I know the shocks can be better. I just can't seem to get the car to flat land and stay settled like my other cars do. Chassis hits the ground a lot. I've tried all the 6 hole and 5 hole pistons, every diameter. Nothing seems to work. My track is fast with big jumps and pretty flat landings.
