SportWerks Mayhem Truggy??????
 

Hey guys, does anyone know what parts do I need to convert my Mayhem Pro to a truggy? I have been racing buggies for MANY years, but I cannot find a conversion kit to turn the Mayhem pro into a truggy. I was looking at the GS SUT axle extenders, but it looks like these wouldnt work with the Mayhem axles?

Does anyone know of any conversion kits on the market? I've checked with JT Racing, 2coolRC, etc. Does anyone make one?

I don't believe there is a conversion available because sportswerks is actually making a truggy, check it out in the new car action, but I don't think there will be a conversion kit because there are many new parts; arms are longer as is the chassis and stuff like that.

I know ofna makes axle entenders, I put a set on my mugen and it works pretty well. One thing you will have to look at though is the gearing, you have to raise the center diff up because you have to use a massive spur gear to get the correct reduction to drive the massive tires with out nuking your motor.

The storm extenders work on the mayhem. You will have to make your own body posts off of the shock towers and buy a larger spur gear i used the gs storm one. i redrilled the holes to fit the mayhem diff. radio tray needs some milling to fit as well the new spur.

Actually you could build one pretty easy I think. There is a lot of misinformation floating around about the Mayhem ST. It does not have a longer chassis. As it stands right now we should see a longer chassis next spring. Right now it uses the stock RTR chassis. The things I can think of off the top of my head are.

1. The longer arm set.
2. The longer cvd’s front & rear.
3. the camber links
4. the tie rods
5. front & rear towers
6. I am not sure on the gearing but would think it would be different.
7. front & rear body post
8. you will also need an extra set of rear shocks for the front

I have a Mayhem ST and the gearing for the ST has the same spur gear and a 1 tooth smaller clutch bell, the gearing differnce is in the the ring and pinion the ST has a 45 tooth ring gear and a 11 tooth pinion, the buggy has a 43 tooth ring gear and a 13 tooth pinion. I also purchased the adjusting collars for the shocks to put on the ST. I raced my ST a few times put HPI Q6 wheels with bowties mounted had those lying around but the offset is wrong for the ST make the with to narrow.
