I have a .2 and was wondering if anybody knows if the gear diffs that come in this car are able to be put in the .2's diff cases? It says nothing about dimensions on the website

Yes, the front and rear diffs from the B44.3 will fit into the B44.2.

The center diff will not work in the B44.2 without getting the motor mount, center bulkhead, top decks, CVAs and chassis.

If it is would I just need the three gear diffs, cva's, motor mount and top plates so that the car would have all gear diffs around?

I am also really glad I did not pull the trigger on the durrango diffs. I just hate the ball diffs.
This I can't say but am very doubtful.

I don't know where the motor mount is located front to back for the shorty configuration but would be willing to bet it is a little different, and thus the top decks would be different too. Most importantly the motor mount for the B44.3 is very different from the B44.2 so likely the bolt pattern is different and you need the B44.3 motor mount to accommodate the center gear diff.

yeah all I can say is I cant wait for the gear diffs. Dont get me wrong I love the adjustability of ball diffs but when you have to replace them every two weeks it gets to be a pain

$379 is a great value considering I spent well into $650 to get my car to where the b44.3 is stock. I have more than 1/2 my car set up as metric and the B5 rear arms have been through some serious durability testing with no failures. The B5 front arms are weak at the hinge pins and are swept forward a bit increasing wheelbase by 4mm which probably isn't good for cornering.

This has been contemplated, but I think the average consumer would think it is not worth the cost. I would suspect the cost for such a conversion kit with all those items will be around the $200-ish range. At that price it would be a better value to just get a kit.

This is great timing since my current B44.2 is wearing out and time for replacement.

I have had them on order for a few weeks Australia isn't close! I just picked up another B44.2 used maybe I'll sell it and buy the new car for my next experiment. I also have another set of gear diffs maybe I'll sell them before the new car comes out!

Thanks Tim,

Yeah I didn't think of the new bolt patterns and all that. I will pick up the diffs first and the kit later on.

That's about 80% right!

MAP is $379 but actual price will probably vary depending on where you get it from.

And currently September (early) is when they'll ship, unless the slow boat cranks it up and gets here a little sooner!
That was Scotts guess...

bet A main will sell for $379 though.
