Yes, there are two areas. The parking area in red is for anyone with pop ups and also the area all the way to the right in orange, is also for extra parking and pop ups. Both areas overflow on the vacant lots on either side of us so there is plenty of room. Hope this helps.

Good morning racers!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know we've updated the pit map for the 2014 ROAR Nats. We still have some indoor spots available, so make sure you get your spot before they're gone.
UPDATE ON SPEC TIRES: The deadline for ordering your Spec Tires at the super-discounted rate has come and gone. Did you forget? Well, we got your back. We are still offering them at a 25% DISCOUNT!! But only until August 15th, so make sure you pre-order your tires soon!!

So,
Outdoor pitting is $25
Indoor pitting is $40
"Prime" indoor pitting $80
Wednesday practice fee $10
Any other surprises?
Will there be a FULL new layout for this national event?

Not sure what the "Prime" pitting is, but all indoor spots are $40, and outdoor spots are $25. The practice fee has been on the ROAR Nationals flyer from the beginning. If you have any questions or concerns we can address for you, please feel free to contact us directly at (321)636-2822. Thank you and look forward to racing in a couple weeks!

The ROAR Nationals Guidelines on page 14 of 20 requires a different layout for the national event. http://www.roarracing.com/downloads/...guidelines.pdf

Here's more of the problem. I recall the guideline used to require 60% had to be changed. A track breaks out the heavy equipment, tears it up, puts down the new layout. No one has run it to "break" the track in. Halfway through the 2nd round the track starts coming apart on the face of step ups or under hard braking areas. Damage control by the track crew may have to happen. All at a national event where all eyes are on it. After two more weekends of racing those problems are all broke in now. It's a risk every track owner has to take when a new layout is put down. So, moving pipes, changing race direction, etc. may be less risky from that perspective. It's a tough decision. Do you want a completely green track and it's changing every round or do want you want a track that is consistent from the start of the event to the end?
I am not affiliated with track, nor geographically anywhere near it. I have been part of two national event staffs and can tell you the last priority on a track owners mind prior to a national event is having the time to feed any drama questions on this forum. So, just go and have fun at the event. Sometimes we lose sight of that.

Running on the same layout that's been in for a year? Or, put in a new one that "might" change every round? I'll take a new layout every time!
In my opinion, any track that doesn't put in a full new layout for a national event isn't worthy of a national event in the first place!
Home track advantage? Nope, not worried about that. I've been doing this 20+ years. I know the fast will always be fast. However, to say there's no such thing as an advantage. You're way too naive on that.

I'm confused by the whole pitting thing. Does a racer HAVE to pay for a pit spot after already paying the 85 dollar entry fee? Or is there a vip area that's extra and the rest is open without a charge?

Will there be any "sneak peaks" of the new layout for the ROAR Nationals next?

I hope a new layout is being put in with all the fees the attending racers have to pay. $85 to enter, $10 for Wednesday practice, $25-$160 for a pit space, $??? Tires for the event. I assume there will be a lot of angry racers if they show up to a busted up track with wrecked jumps and huge cracks.

Did you read my post? I agree that there is always an advantage at your home track.
