shrink to cover entire 6 cell sidexside pack?
 
hey guys, i dont want to worry about my batteries sidexside batts. touching and shorting out..i have tried electrical tape..but they come off a little bit too easily...so i was wondering where can i get heatshrink that covers the entire pack?

Your local hobby shop should have a roll of it. If not it's worth trying a local auto parts store. They may be able to get you some.

dont do it. your battery pack usually will not fit in the tray unless you can find thin shrink wrap. also your batteries will not retain the heat as long if you do not have shrink wrap on the batteries.

Now that I re-read your post, I have a better idea. There are generally plastic caps that fit over the end of the cells. Go to your local hobby shop and dig through the battery recycling bin (most hobby shops have them), and find a stick pack with the cap. Cut the cap off and put it over the end of your exposed cells. Use several drops of CA to hold it on. Stick packs should be shrink wrapped, just because one screwdriver that rolls on the workbench has the potential to dead short the battery.

i think the cap would be a bit too big to fit batteries into my bk2...so its either shrink wrap, or electrical tape...
