I've made the mistake of having tire compound in a closed hotel room over night, makes for a bad hang-over like morning...

So basically I'll use something that permanently changes the rubber but not something that works for a few minutes.n WD-40 isn't greasy if you do it the night before then wash the tires before driving on them.
use Wd and wipe it off , will stay greasy until its dry which takes hours.

Do the same with LW and after 5 min no grease or oil .

yes i need to try LW --- WD only takes like 15min to dry with the mix i do but i race outdoors in hot florida. the reason i use simple green is the clay we use(if you just use water the clay stay in the tire and will make your tire harder for the next run). also simple green can make it slippy for a few laps but only if it is wet. if it is dry it make it grip more. so a hot dry dusty track the two work good and make the tire last a long time.

this is what i'am thinking (might not be true)!!! so if LW dry faster that probably means it's particle are smaller so it get in to the tire deeper/faster and evaporate faster(kinda like water vs alcohol)... so over night before race it might be best to use wd40 (stay in the tire longer) and at track it be best to use LW(get in more of the tire and works/dry faster).

Gato

At Trcr can go over night with wd & its performance is still poor.

Personally feel the oil additive LW uses is what makes it perform so well.

All of our faster drivers have
switched over to LW, that speaks volumes ...

Pick up some today, even if you don't like its useful around the house.

So are you using the lubricating (blue label, yellow cap) or the penetrating and lubricating (blue label and cap)?

I think the way I heard it was the lubricating is for the clay compounds and the penetrating is for super soft?

The yellow cap stuff doesn't smell all that bad. The teal cap stuff smells awful. But works even better. If you can find it...

/\ what he said... The blue cap blue label stuff is the business! However it's just plain horrible to smell and even worse when you have 300 entries and 3 days inside a poorly ventilated RC track... That stuff pretty much trumps everything... They however discontinued it.
