Default Replacement ball ends (Kyosho buggy)

I'm trying to fix a friend's 1/10 Kyosho buggy and it has a couple of broken suspension ball ends.

How are these measured in order to get replacements? Should I measure the inner diameter or the ball itself or what?

The manual will not specify any dimension. It just says "ball ends".

I can see the front and rear are different in length as well.

Thanks for any input!

On the part list there's the accessory for the long ones (rear) LA43 - they're 5.8mm.

No mention to the front ones/ short.

Any clues?

If they are plastic parts they will usually be sold on a tree with both back and front pieces. If you have the part number, try googling "Kyosho -------" with the part number in place of the ------.

I finally found these...

I' ii try to find them locally as the shipping exceeds the part's price.
