Trackmoist dust suppressant
I've been reading about this product on various motorsports forums has anyone tried this stuff on a RC track? How does it compare to calcium chloride or sugar/water mix?

Wonder how it actually works or what's actually in it. There is no useful information for a responsible party on there. At $109 + shipping, it may be a great option for many places.

Am i reading it right? 45000 gallons treated with about 1 gallon of this stuff?
Sounds to good to be true.

Im pretty sure the place i raced at yesterday the owner of the track bought some to try out with saw dust and he did watered it and rolled the track . He dint really water the track a lot just blowed off the loose dirt and hardly any dust intill the evening which was not nearly as bad if it was not used . The track for sure seemed to not get any rocks or ruts as much .
Graded it was not super hot outside or a ton of wind.

While I can't be sure about this, it sounds a LOT like what my local track tried once, & it did cut down on the amount of dust, but it also made the dirt feel more like concrete, & it chewed up tires like NO dirt I've ever seen, & yet it didn't seem to do much for grip. Didn't go over well with us, & after a short while they went back to a hard packed dirt/clay mix.

Yea i think it depends on what dirt is used . Like the track i went to on the weekend its a hard packed dirt with loose dirt i looked at my new Impact tires and they only showed a little wear . Guys were using small pins and they looked good. Grip wise inless you got out into the loose dirt there was grip but not a ton .
A lot of tire wear depends on how you have your punch control and how hard you are on the throttle on any dirt.
All i know is it seemed to keep the track from getting rutted out and less dust .

very interested in hearing results from people who have tried this. I am looking for a dust control at our track, we have a clay dirt mixed, outdoors, grip is really good, we run it dry but have to deal with dust. when we run I wet it takes time away from racing and makes the day longer, also when we try to run a wet track we get a lot more fluff. we have less fluff when we just run it dry and water the edges.
very skeptical of the 1 gallon=45000 gallon thing. we have a 200 gallon tank to mix it in and just seems weird to think one cap full would treat that full 200 gallon tank.
anyone who trys this let us know feedback..............
